How It Works
From submission to permanent DOI in four steps.
Submit
Upload your motion capture recording in BVH, FBX, or C3D format, or submit a dance film. Provide the cultural context: the tradition your movement belongs to, the teachers and communities it comes from, and how it sits within existing scholarship. The cultural citation is required. It is not a formality.
Peer Review
Your submission enters a rigorous editorial process. Movement scholars assess the technical quality and scholarly framing. Cultural consultants verify the authenticity and appropriateness of your citation. The review is substantive. We are building a permanent scholarly record.
DOI Assignment
Upon acceptance, your movement receives a permanent Digital Object Identifier through Zenodo. This identifier makes your movement citable in academic literature, discoverable by other researchers, and permanently attributed to you as its author. The DOI is yours. It will never expire.
Publication
Your movement enters the Global Movement Research corpus, a growing body of over 80 documented movement works. Your contribution becomes part of a permanent, interconnected scholarly record. Other researchers can cite your work, respond to it, and build upon it. Your movement joins a conversation that will outlast us both.
